- Students should not be made to wear uniforms.
- Students would be in a much jollier mood if they were allowed to express themselves in their own way based on how they like to dress.
- Most schools do not have an official uniform for the students to wear, yet there are some exceptions. These schools include catholic schools and some higher class schools. These uniforms were created to avoid the wearing of 'inappropriate' clothing, such as high skirts and sagging jeans.
- These schools should have more trust in the students. This sense of trust will give students a better peace of mind and will also strengthen the relationships between the students and teachers.
- This could also provide a sense of peace to the teachers when they realize there are minimal precautions to dress code. Teachers would not constantly be getting on to students when they violate the uniform that they wear.
- Although we have heard many stories that a students dress was concidered dangerous in some way, the chance of a student using it in such a manner is minimal.
- The only regulations i believe a student body should hold dress codes for would be for "decency", such as no mini skirts and muscle shirts.
- Uniforms are said to reduce gang influence, minimize violence by reducing some sources of conflict, and help to identify trespassers. Parents benefit because they are no longer pressured to buy the latest fashions, and they spend less on their children's clothing.
- I understand how uniforms will help parents save money on their childrens clothing, but i feel that having uniforms will not effect gang influence. Being in a gang is not based on the clothing worn, but out of own personnal choices, rather then outside influences pushed against a person by a gang affilation simply based on how you dress.
First, I know that a students mood can very well be reflected in the clothing that they wear. If all students were made to wear the exact same uniform, this could very well make them feel like robots! A students enthusiasm could shoot for the roof if they were free to wear whatever they wish. These schools include catholic schools and some higher class schools. Next, this could also provide a sense of peace to the teachers when they realize there are minimal precautions to dress code. Teachers would not constantly be getting on to students when they violate the uniform that they wear. Most school staff believe that minimal dress codes could be concidered dangerous, if a student does make the dress code a problem, the rest of the students should not be punished for that students wrongs. A students choices and actions should effect only his own outcome, not the entire student body

All in all, Dress codes should be kept at a minimum, in my opinion, the pros all outweigh the cons of this arguement.
This arguement is based on inductive thinking, most, if not all is purely opinion. There is no solid proof that uniforms decrease gang influences.
